If meat is grown in a lab, it could readily be done without exposing it to pathogens.

There would remain some small risk of contamination during processing and such, but no more risk than any other food. Since there would be no herds of animals there would be no carriers to transmit the diseases. So no antibiotics needed.

And depending on our ability to tweak DANA we might be able to get volume and quality without hormones.
