How Lyft plans to put millions of human drivers out of work.

Self driving technology is progressing slower than they expected, so in the short term Lyft plans to hire even more human drivers. Then in 5 - 10 years the self driving cars will become more widely available, then become cheaper than human drivers and gradually replace most human drivers. Also most other paid drivers will be replaced by self driving vehicles.

I think that will cause a big increase in unemployment. I hope some other new types of human jobs will be created by then.
