Brain lateralisation

I am studying Daniel Levitin's "This is you brain on Music". Daniel is a Neuroscientist and the book is full of fascinating information. He discusses the part played by each side of our brains in music. The right (imagistic) hemisphere is used until training brings in the left(logical) hemisphere to deal with scales etc. This involves lateralisation of the brain - ie using both sides. "Children show less lateralisation than adults, regardless of whether they are musicians or not". I believe that it is the case that the Klavar system being basically a picture of what is to be performed makes life so much easier for performers as one uses the right side of your brain for most of the process. It is particularly helpful for children as they are less able to lateralise....
