Hi Joe

Many thanks for the correct plate reference. I also thank you for re-posting Gabolde's thoughts on this, which (to me) make perfect sense. Although it is not explicit any where that Baketaten is the daughter of Akhenaten, let alone of Kiya, such a position also make sense.

As Nefertiti is the only known wife of Akhenaten who certainly had more than one child, one is led to the conclusion that the male child shown is a son of Nefertiti.

Whether this child is also to be identified with Tutankhuaten is another matter.

Jan: hope you read this and can check out the correct plate reference 433/VIIIC, rather than 43/VIIIC which I erroneously repeated.
