Hi Marianne,

thank you for reviving this thread. Iíve read your article and I confess I did not know of the link between Ahmose-Nefertari and Tetiky. My position and yours seem to be similar still: I infer that Ahmose-Sipair was son of Seqenenre Tao and father of Thutmose I and queen Ahmose by Senseneb; maybe the latter was a daughter or niece of Tetiky.

Iíd like to add that Ahmose-Nefertari may not be the only link between Thutmose I and the royal family of the time. Mutnofret, as Kingís Daughter and Kingís Sister, is almost certainly the daughter of Ahmose I and the sister of Amenhotep I; thus, Thutmose I most likely married his cousin at some point early in his reign to further legitimate his claim. This concurs with a very young Thutmose II at ascension.

Kind regards,
Jaime

What if Sipair is Serapis? Husband of Aahotep 2. I don't have enough information to make that "suggestion", or "assertion", yet. It's a tantalizing new lead that I have to follow up on.
