I'm not so sure this is the case, according to another line in Joshua (below), the "Hornet" drove out the foreigners, implying there was no Conquest by Israelites, as claimed by the later O.T. scribes.

Joshua 24:12:
"And I sent the hornet before you, which drave them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow."

It could just as easily be interpreted as these newly arriving Israelites took advantage of the recently destroyed cities, and were not directly involved in the action per-se.

We may be dealing with two ancient sources. One scribe suggests the Israelites conquered this land, the other claims they were not actively involved
The Egyptians do not normally credit local tribes who align themselves with Egyptian military forces, which undoubtedly occurred many times in these foreign campaigns. so we cannot expect to see a list of tribes allied to the Egyptian military.

Michael Liebig continues:
"Everything is just guesswork and in my opinion does not have the criteria of a serious synchronism."

True, but we are not likely to find a serious synchronism until we apply serious study to the question.
Most scholars stay away from the subject, which doesn't help.
