Hi Joe,
I read this article, and your links to previous articles. I compared to my notes and the new radiocarbon tests.
*******
"the allowable solutions for the accession year of Ammi-ṣaduqa are 1913, 1702, 1638, 1574 and 1419 BC."
...
"and 1574 (Low - note that in the table, for this year, both M and Y fall on the same data point)."
...
"One might even eliminate 1702 and 1574."
...
"1574 requires the start of the average Babylonian year to be 19 March. For this period such an early start appears to be unlikely. It even have one year (year 26 Ammi-ditana) beginning on 15 February. However I note the Babylonian calendar of the first half of the 1st millennium mostly conforms to such a scheme - under the influence of the Middle Babylonian MUL.APIN, which required the year to begin with the first crescent before the vernal equinox). "
******
My notes say that I chose the low chronology, so I have 1573, not knowing about the Venus Cycle.

Choosing this synchronizes the Atrahasis flood of Ammisaduqa with the inundation stelae of Ahmose.

It then allows for a synchronization between Khyan and Hammurabi, 4 generations earlier, as was posted by Zahi Hawass.
********
The brand new carbon dating-calibration curve has 1562 +/- 37, which also leans towards low chronology rather than middle.
********
So I kind of prefer the 1574BC over the 1627BC, because of these reasons.

Thanks for such a good and thorough explanation of the Venus cycles.
