I've been reading a biog of Steve Marriott, which has confused me a bit - dunno if anyone can help out. The book says Weider joined Steve Marriott and the Moments in mid '63, poached from the Pirates. Surely Weider wasn't even in the Pirates at that point ? Adie's timeline has him mentioned as joining Jimmy Winstone's Reflections in Feb '66 which would make sense since he left the Pirates in Sep 65 but the ide he left the Pirates for an unknown band (as Marriott was mid '63) seems odd.
I don't know much about John Weider I must confess, but I think that Steve Marriot biog must be wrong. Mick was definately in the Pirates from '62 to 64' . John Weider couldn't have been poached from ... more
