This was the first time I have ever collected and inseminated on my own at home for side by side AI. My male was trying, but he is a few inches shorter than my girl. I collected, which I have done in the past to get a boy used to being collected, then I inseminated. I have witnessed it but never done it before, SUCCESS!
My IzzieBelle (F3) arrived from her guardian swollen with pups on Sunday, and she is in labor now! So far there are 4 girls and 2 boys, all lovely golden cream, possibly some apricots. Sire is my 18.5" giant Cockapoo.
I have another girl due in a few weeks that I also did side by side on by myself for practice. She is showing big time as well!
Especially if they know you and are excited...sometimes a maiden boy is wiggy but otherwise a male, is a male, is a male....wooo hooo....;) Doing the ai can be a bit trickier...especially the first... more

Congrats...not that hard now is it :) I think the collecting part is what gets most breeders at first..hehe Just takes some practice twisting the tube up, down and around and using lots of lube...... more
