I am curious why you are looking for a retired dog for a pet for your young children instead of a puppy that they can grow up with? Are you thinking there would be a price difference because usually there is not, or is there another reason? Just curious. I agree with Kendra. I bought an adult breeder from a breeder that does not use Guardian homes and has a great deal of dogs that live together, not really "home raised" dogs. The one I got was not housebroken and was extremely fearful, timid, shy, and submissive, which included submissive peeing when approached. I have a 12.5 week old female puppy that would be wonderful for your children. I have 5 grandchildren under age 7, and my puppy photographer who is here weekly has 4 children under age 7 that she brings with and they play with our puppies. The puppy I have is a small medium so will be about 17-18" tall, and weigh 25-30 pounds. Here is per picture. Please email me if you have any interest. Thanks.
