I also live out on 8 acres. I have the time, am an empty nester, but families must come when I allow it and I only give out my address after I have spoken with families and have a puppy application for contact info....I have had some not show up with is very annoying so I make sure I have their contact info if they are late, or lost I contact them.
I sell alot doing this, I really feel it makes people more confortable with the process. I sell alot local, within 2-3 hours of me so families often come to visit the pups in their litter when they are 5 weeks old...
Live cams can help families enjoy watching the pups grow up and hold my families at bay until they are older.
Do what you feel comfortable with, many of my lookly loos wind up buying or telling others about me...I do sell/refer for other breeders in the area if I don't have what the family wants in their time frame. They do the same for me as well.
