has been your protocol? Do they continue to reinfect? What med did you use and how often have you had to treat?
I have never had worms of any type but know Hookworms can be particularly pesty. I don't want to infect my puppy area with them but if the treatment does the trick, then I am fine.
I will also contact my vet tomorrow to get his opinion on these nasty looking critters. Yuck!
one Milbemax pill and they never had worms so far. I live in the netherlands so I don't know if Milbemax is available in US or Canada. Milbemax works also if your dog is already infected.
freezing will kill them off. Never having worms of any type in my girls, this sort of freaked me out. It is good to know they will be erradicated by meds, regular worming protocol and the cold. :+)

don't survive freezing so ahter the winter they will be gone for sure. I prefer to prevent it by giving them de-worming pills. Puppies every 2 weeks, starting at week 2, and mother with them.
