Thank you all for your kind words about Ann. We are grateful Pam got us into breeding and allowed us the joy of loving the dogs and people we met in the journey.
Everything you have written about Ann is true. She was the most amazing person I have known. We had our fights and troubles, but we also enjoyed our life together. She had the ability to focus on whoever she was with. If you were talking, you had her entire attention.
We are going to have her funeral on the 23rd in our town of Newberg. We will also hope to have a memorial in Maryland sometime this fall. We also intend to remain members of the breeding community and continue to raise our Australian Labradoodles. Ann loved our dogs and being a breeder. She was sad that her health kept her from being more active in our program. The northwest gathering in March was a bittersweet time for her. She loved being with those who were there. She hated the fact that she was ill while she was there.
She also loved meeting Gretchen and merging our breeding programs by the breeder trade we worked out with her.
God has humorously scheduled all this and we are due to have Scarlett deliver a litter on the day after Ann's funeral. We will not have time to become bored or to focus only on our loss.
For those who are on our puppy list, things continue as they would have. I hope that the puppies you get from us will be all the more special as they remind you of Ann.
