You can tell a sable early on. I doubt

very much she will be a sable. The best way to identify a sable is when they have some length to their hair, pull one out and look with a magnifying glass with the hair on a white background. If the hair just has a different color on the tip, it will be a sable. Sables can be difficult to identify because when the coat is clipped, you don't see the second color on the tips, just the 'body' color. A give away can be tipping on the ears, but many cut the fringe off and again, you don't see it. You have to identify it when they are pups. There are red, black, brown, etc. tipped sables.

My pups have done this and they turned lavender or parchment and showed this 'color evolution' very early - like three weeks and just kept turning. :+)
