touched town at the intersection of my street on Sunday evening at 8pm in Pass-a-Grille FL. spawned by Tropical Storm Debby. My house faired pretty well as I had all my storm shutters down. But the flying debris from other homes did lots of outside damage. Small leak inside. Dents in my Prius, siding of house gauged, storm shutter covers dented. Tree branches down even though we thought we had prepared for this by thinning out the branches.
The roof came off a house across a small lane from me and took down my 8' fence in the back yard. I think this is also where the damage on the outside came from. But imagine what would have happened if my storm shutters were not down! It came off in two huge triange shaped pieces - whole sides of roof!
Glass, debris, someone's solar panels, roof vents, chairs, pieces of flower pots - you name it, it is in my fenceless back yard!
But - I had a trip planned to NC and someone to drive me and the dogs up because the Doctors will not let me drive that far yet. We were to leave Monday morning at 6am. Sunday morning, the weather was getting so bad, I asked her if she could leave right then. She said yes, so we left. Thank goodness I was not there with the 8 dogs when the tornado hit!
My Guardian angel (my Mother) has truly been watching over me - first surviving the brain aneurysm and now a tornado! I don't want to find out what the third thing is!!! LOL
I say this was your 3rd! You had the water damage, the aneurysm and now the Tornado. You are done...PRAISE GOD for that! You are a survivor and a trooper! So happy you are alive and kickin! :+)
Praise God that He is watching over you so well! He must have great plans for your life, Peggy! I know that He uses you to help others on this forum! So glad you are doing better!
