      I had the same thing happen...pup didn't make it. Ever since, I fight hard to clamp the umbilical cords before moms have a change. I'm sorry for you, know it's so heartbreaking! We so the best we can.

      Congratulations on your huge litter! I am so sorry that you lost one this way! Very sad. I had a similiar experience with the mom chewing the cord completely off, but the intestines didn't come out.... more
