I've seen it posted in diverse places. If those carbines WERE to be re-imported, perhaps I could finally afford one. I've had a hankering for one (for no good reason - just because) ever since I got to shoot one that a friend of my wife's family had restocked in black walnut with an ebony buttplate. It was a beautiful piece of work and it was a piece of cake to keep the can he had hanging from the fence jumping on the end of the string. Like plinking with a 22 on steroids. :) A huge grin factor. (probably because I was shooting someone else's ammo) I keep my hopes up for a good deal on a Garand as well. Who knows? Life isn't over yet. :D
