I've tried the "bake" on finish from Brownels and had very poor results--finish is easily damaged-but maybe I did a poor job and didn't realize it--However the stripper- Btrownells rust remover # 082-054-032- works like a charm

A friend gave me an old Savage 24 series p 22LR/20 Gage.(1963) The finish on the barrels have been mostly removed.What is the best way to refinish them and with what?
