      Slugs hands down, especially in a Savage 24c with cylinder barrel as I have. Buckshot does well Hugh in my other 2 24's with full chokes, but test your gun first with all loads to see what works... more

      From what i remember, i think the 20GA Buckshot is only available in #3. 00 is too big-two 32 caliber pellets will not quite fit into a 62 caliber bore! Not sure about other sizes though, maybe 0 or... more

      If you are limited to buckshot for deer... double-aught? Seems like a no-brainer. If slugs are an option, Federal pumpkins or Brennekes.
