Picatinny adaptor

I just recently installed an eotech xps2 holographic sight on my savage 24, 22lr over 20 gage. May I say, "It works awesome".
I have it mounted on a B Square 3/8 dovetail to picatinny rail adaptor. It seems to be holding up well, though I still need to put more 20gage rounds through it. The only thing I don't like about is that it is short (1 1/2"). I would like something that is longer to distribute the stress over a much longer area of the dovetail.
What are people's experiences with dovetail adaptors? Does anyone know of some other high quality adaptors?
