Chuck The Ramones and the Ronettes in a blender, add a Jim Morrisson and Ian Curtis protrait, then play it in an empty church through stacks of floor-to-ceilings distorted guitaramps, tape it from next door... and you have Jesus & Mary Chain... Brilliant stuff. Though visually these guys were always boring-as-...... no showmanship whatsoever... could have studied the Cramps a little bit better.
