Sound Alternatives

I have found that 1/4" clear (ice maker) tubing works great when the end has been rounded / sanded and polished smooth. I started with that, then moved up to 3/8" tubing, same end treatment. Most recently I have used an automotive push-rod from a local auto parts store. Very similar to a sound and very cost effective - ~$1. I also have rounded off the end of a ratchet wrench extention rod (removing the square tip) and I can make it all the way into my bladder. The large ~1/2" socketed end (1/4" wrench extention) will slide in aprox. 3" before it becomes too restricted to go further. I am working on moving up to 1/2" tubing but it is slow going:).
Hope these ideas are of some help to you.
