Fuel pump

I have a 67 MBG. It isn't getting fuel. I bought a new fuel pump and installed it. The new pump doesn't' seem to click/run. The battery is fine, the gas tank is over half full, the car runs fine if you put gas in the carb but won't run on its own. The old fuel pump runs when connected to power but the new one doesn't. Moss said that the pump won't run unless it has fuel. Any ideas???

      If the pump doesn't click (pump) it is an electrical problem. Recheck all connections. The pump doesn't need to be under a load to pump. If all connections look good, and it still doesn't work, put a ... more

        Boxing it up and sending it back to Moss! We are thinking that maybe the floats in the carbs are stuck. Put the old pump back on and it works but the carbs are still not getting fuel. Thinking maybe... more

          Disconnect the fuel line at the carbs to check gas flow to the carbs.
