choke cable

Thank you for your response. I am certain that I am not the only one to have this issue.
It was the knob and the bar that pulled out from the choke cable.
I figure that I would have to replace whole assembly.
I wonder: I have another choke cable ... could I remove the knob and cable only, and insert this through the cable cover that is already installed?
Then all that I would have to do is re-connect the choke linkage.
I am uncertain to remove the inner cable and not be able to re-insert it.
Your opinion please.

    If only the centre wire broke, just pull the remains out and replace it, if it's still long enough,and you've pulled it out, you may have to cut off the raggy end and if it is still too raggy' you... more
