Happy Independence Day Eve. In case you didn't know, tomorrow is a day where we celebrate our country. Additionally, we must also remember those who work tirelessly to uphold the values we cherish. Please remember to take a moment to thank, or remember someone who works or has worked in the military. It is because of them that we may be.

This past week has been better than the last. With more and more people coming out for runs, I have no doubt about the terrible force we will be this season. That being said, we need MORE! More summer runners, more Running Campers, more people who are not just willing, but ABLE to dominate everything this season. I'm talkin' League, Invites, NCS, Everything. And it all starts with base (endurance) training. So come on out! There's still plenty o' Summer Runningness to be had; plenty of time to prepare to prepare to be training to be fast! Yep, I said "prepare to prepare". Runs are informal, but so much more fun and challenging (if necessary) when we have tons of people like we've been having. To celebrate the 4th of July, we will be racing tomorrow morning at the Firecracker 5k bright and early at 8am in Downtown Pleasant Hill. The race starts at 8, so you'll probably want to arrive early. Proceeds help to fund local schools and sports. Be there, or be there! <-- Like you have a choice... :D
