We are not out of the woods, but today was a good day!

What we do know is he has pneumonia.
He got it from asperating puke into his lungs.
That is the secondary problem.
Still trying to find what the primary problem is making him puke..

He spent one night at the vet and we've made 4 trips back and forth.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday he was real bad. Afraid I was going to loose him.

The vet put a scope down his throat to make sure he didn't have something foreign in there.
Nothing in there, but everything is real red from all the stomach acid that he's been coughing up.

We are still waiting on labs for the lung culture and other lab work.

Vet thinks, what's causing him to puke, is the muscles in his neck are not working right.
Instead of moving the food and water down this throat, its all just bunching up and he vomits everything up with stomach acid.

Don't know how we are going to fix that.
Right now he is on 4 drugs and one is suppose to help with the throat muscles.

Today he's kept his food and medicine down.

Now we wait to see what happens tonight.

If he tries to bark or move around he starts coughing real bad , from the pneumonia! I can still hear the fluid in his lungs, when he coughs.

We go back next week, for another X-ray of his lungs, to see if we are kicking the pneumonia butt. Also see what we are going to do about the throat.

You do not want to know what all this has costed, so far.
Lets just say my charge card it getting a big hit and poor hubby will be working a lot of overtime to pay it off.

He still has a 50-50 chance of beating this.
Been doing a lot of talking with the man above.
He's only six years old. Not sure why the throat has decided not to work right.
Could be hereditary!

Will update again, when I know more.
As you might figured we are pulled out of all agility shows, for probably many months!

I can tell you my washing machine is getting a work out from all the puked towels, sheets and blankets.
He's been so good at hitting them with puke!!

Going to have to steam clean the carpet, as soon as the weather warms up.

glad to hear he is getting better. Sick dogs are just sick kids and when they are this sick it is horrible. I hope all better now. But what a nightmare for you and the little fella.
