Update part 3

After the snake incident we went to a boot store and grandma bought the grandkids new cowboy boots.
They were just about grown out of theirs and grandma bought herself a pair of real cowgirl boots.
Havenít had a pair since high school.
Daughter-in-law already had a pair.
Now I need to find boot cut jeans. Lol.

The grandkids and I surprise their mom with a birthday cake and present.
Her birthday is really this Thursday, but we wanted to celebrate early at the property.

Besides who doesnít like finding a reason to have cake and ice cream????

Two days before leaving, it rained real hard one night.
Then the wind turned and started blowing the smoke north.

That cleared the air and sky.

Took everyone to a sandy beach and had fun watching them play in the water.

On the day we headed home, I took her the old way I used to drive home.

Wanted them to see a waterfall at a state park.

While walking the rock trail I came across a long garden snake sunning itself on the rocks.
Showed it to them and then took a step toward it. Hoping it would just go away.
That dang thing jumped toward me and everyone was backing up real quick. Lol
It finally went into the bushes and we made it to the waterfall.

Another stop, on the way home, was at Dry Falls.
At one time it used to be the largest waterfall in the world.
Now all dried up.

And last stop was at Soap Lake.
Water suppose to feel soapy and it really does. Hand was kinda slimy after running it through the water. People were swimming in it. One of my sons went swimming in it, on his way home from the property.

No motors aloud in the lake.
Suppose to have minerals and health healing by swimming in it.

All in all it was a good trip, even though we had to deal with bad air.
Weather wasnít too hot after the second arrival day.

Iím looking forward to next trip back to the property.
Didnít want to go home this trip.

Cameraís showed the momma bear and cub, 3 baby deers, lots of bucks, several coyotes and bunch of turkeys.
So lots of animal action going on.

Iím hoping to catch that trespassing Hunter this year. :)

You can bet Iíll be around hunting season and carrying my shotgun. :)!

Take care everyone and stay cool.
