Finally getting beyond the small circle of work and home in Minneapolis. The suburb of Hopkins had their Raspberry Festival this weekend, and the town has maintained its main street. The fest included a Main Street car show Saturday (while I was working). But I found out local hot rodders hang around to cruise main street. So I went up to join in with the El Camino - a couple laps up and down main street, park by some other cars and talk with the drivers (two Chevelle guys) for a while, a couple more laps up and down main street, then get some ice cream and watch the fest fireworks.
One bystander jumped out of a sidewalk restaurant to take a picture of the picoupe while I was stopped at a red light. I shut off the headlights so he could get a better pic, and waited a little after the light turned green till he gave me a thumbs up that he got his shot -- then lit up the tires leaving. Fun night.
