Hi...your date is off, but I think we are dealing with the correct family. Mary (McAdam) McIsaac was born c. 1798...she married pioneer, Angus McIsaac who was born c. 1795 in the Parish of South Uist; he died prematurely c. 1835 and Mary was left to raise the family. Pioneer Angus McIsaac was a brother of pioneers Alexander, Roderick and a sister, Margaret. They immigrated here from South Uist during the years c.1817, 1819. (They all settled in the Ben Eoin/Big Pond area of Cape Breton). The year 1842 would have been the date that the land was granted to her and her children, Isabel/Archibald/Donald/John/William and Angus...(financial hardship probably make it difficult for her too take ownership earlier on).
