Hi Kate,

My Gillises arrived in Cape Breton from Gaoideal in 1820/1821 and settled on River Denys Mountain, Inverness County.
The 1772 in my address refers to the arrival of my Kinlochmoidart MacEachern ancestors in PEI (Ile St-Jean) in that year, almost fifty years prior to the Gillises.
On my mother's side my MaDougall ancestor came out from Eigg in 1791. He also married a Moidart MacEachern who came out with her family the same year.
I've published two family histories (Gillis & MacDougall) which, combined, come to a total of about 650 pages.
