I'm pleased to inform you that Environment and Climate Change Canada has posted a Notice of Opportunity for 10 Sustainable Development Advisory Council members:

one member will represent British Columbia,
one will represent Manitoba,
one will represent Ontario,
one will represent Nova Scotia,
one will represent Yukon,
one will represent business organizations,
one will represent environmental non-governmental organizations, and
three will represent Indigenous peoples.

Council members are appointed by the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change to review and provide advice on the draft Federal Sustainable Development Strategy. The Council plays an important role in shaping the strategy, helping to ensure it reflects partner and stakeholder perspectives.

Consistent with the Government of Canada's new approach to Governor in Council appointments, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change is seeking candidates through an open and transparent merit-based process. If you are interested in applying or for more information, please consult the Notice of Opportunity.

I would also invite you to share this message widely—with colleagues, friends and anyone you think who might be interested in applying for this opportunity.
