Community Salmon Program Funding Announcement – Spring 2019, Closes February 15, 2019

PSF is pleased to announce the opening of our on-line funding application portal for the Community Salmon Program Spring 2019 funding round.

To receive assistance with your project or the application system, please contact us well in advance of the February 15, 2019 closing date.

Online application process:

Please go to our on-line web portal, psf.fluidreview.com , to review eligibility criteria and create an account, or log into your organization’s existing account. Enter your project details, budget, upload any attachments, and submit your CSP application(s) once complete.

Project types eligible for Community Salmon Program funding must provide benefit to wild Pacific salmon or their habitats and qualify under one of the following categories:
• Habitat assessment
• Habitat rehabilitation
• Stock assessment
• Stock rehabilitation
• Education and outreach
• Stewardship and community planning
• Project monitoring

Project applications will be adjudicated in April and all applicants will be notified by email shortly after .

Please contact any other potential funding partners and technical resources to request support as soon as possible. Allow sufficient lead time as they need to be familiar with your organization and project before providing endorsement.

NEW FOR 2019:

There will be a limited call for applications in our Fall 2019 funding round as all CSP grant funds for all projects must be expensed and final reports submitted no later than February 15, 2020 in order of PSF to be in compliance with our Fisheries and Oceans Canada contribution agreement. You are encouraged to apply for all anticipated 2019 project funds now, in the February 15, 2019 closing round. The Fall 2019 funding round closing October 15, 2019 will be restricted to projects that can be completed by February 15, 2020. The Fall 2019 funding round will be suitable only for simple, short-term projects and purchases.

The Pacific Salmon Foundation, established in 1989, is a non-profit, charitable organization with a long-term commitment to the conservation and rehabilitation of wild Pacific salmon and their habitat. Operating independently from government, PSF works in partnership with government, industry and business communities and other non-profit organizations to seek funding and resources in support of Pacific salmon and you, the community that stewards them.
