Parliamentary Internship for the Environment

Sustainability Network is proud to be a supporter of the GreenPAC Parliamentary Internship for the Environment program which offers young leaders (aged 18-30), who are passionate about the environment and politics, the chance to gain invaluable training and experience from Canada’s top environmental champions on Parliament Hill.

We're excited to help announce that applications are now open for the 2019-2020 cohort. For the second year in a row, GreenPAC is sending four interns aged 18 to 30 to work full-time on Parliament Hill with MPs that have been pushing for stronger, faster action on the environment. This is a unique opportunity that gives young people a first-hand look at how the political process works and connects them with environmental leaders inside and outside government.

For the first two months of the program, interns will be involved in a national, non-partisan public engagement strategy in the lead up to the 2019 federal election. After the election, interns will be placed in the Parliament Hill office of their host MPs and become well-versed in policy research, legislative affairs, communications, and constituency work.

If you know a young person who is passionate about the environment, keen to make change, and ready for a unique leadership opportunity, please pass along the application details. Or if this sounds like you, submit an application.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 15 at midnight EST. If you have any questions or require accommodations during the application process, please contact
