Agents' idols

This is just a fun little thought exercise--another way to look at our agents, I suppose.

Do your PPCers have any idols? Not necessarily lust objects, although the two occasionally overlap, but personal heroes or role models. Never mind sex or violence, who would your PPCer kill to just spend some time talking with? Who makes them want to be a better (or worse) person?

Here's mine, to kick things off. Warning: the last one has a spoiler for the first season of Game of Thrones.

Diocletian: Dr. Herbert West, Re-Animator. He's the complete opposite of everything she lusted after as a Sue--short, obsessive, definitely not Elvish, and so forth. But his single-minded dedication to his mission (in this case, conquering death) and ability to ignore all other distractions are a real inspiration to her. Not that she'd mention it, of course: idolizing a zombie-creating mad scientist might make FicPsych side-eye her.

Ithalond: Harry Dresden, The Dresden Files. This is partially rooted in jealousy--Harry managed to avoid losing his hand, which Ithalond unfortunately couldn't avoid. But Harry also takes things as they come and still manages to retain his sense of humor, something Ithalond is hugely envious of. Given the chance, he'd sit at Harry's feet and say "Teach me to be a snarky nerd, wise one."

Suicide: Khal Drogo, Game of Thrones. This one's sort of a dead giveaway. XD Suicide doesn't want to learn anything from Drogo, or take any inspiration from him or anything; he wants to hang out, talk about horses and women, compare the most epic beards they've ever seen, and maybe celebrate by killing an upstart idiot in some bizarrely hilarious fashion. Drogo, to him, has the perfect life: a beautiful young wife, loyal tribesmen, a nice horse, a badass beard, plenty of doofuses (doofi?) to slay--and of course, a one-hundred-percent-no-take-backs death. That the coup de grace was delivered by said beautiful young wife is just a cherry on the sundae, as far as Suicide is concerned. He has a sneaking suspicion that a woman'll kill him anyway, and Drogo gets that, too! Lucky bastard.

So how about you guys? Who do your agents idolize?

    • The Oath of PeacePhobos, Sun May 6 11:29pm
The Oath of Peace is not actually total pacifism. It is an Oath to do no more harm than is absolutely necessary. Whether that be cutting down trees, killing animals, or fighting a war. It reads as... more
      • That...Neshomeh, Sun May 6 11:38pm
... actually works far better than my mangled interpretation, where Ilraen is concerned. Thanks! ~Neshomeh
    • Well...AnnaBee, Sun May 6 11:15pm

If he does go for the punch, he should probably make sure Caleb isn't around.
        • I'm thinking hug.AnnaBee, Sun May 6 4:35pm
Skel's too nice of a guy to hold a grudge for long. And Jack will be able to understand what he's saying, *without* the translator. Which will be nice for him.
  • Let's see...Sergio Turbo, Sun May 6 5:08am
Corolla: Reinforce Zwei, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS . She's her role model as an Unison Device, lighthearted but very capable on the field. Corolla didn't understand that " complete ditz"... more

    • Heh.VixenMage, Sun May 6 7:33pm
My first decisive thought on the character of Ned Stark was "He's like an AU version of Sam Vimes!"
    • Re: Agents' idolsTungsten_Monk, Sun May 6 3:48am
Brightbeard, Stark, Vimes and Book would have a hell of a conversation. :D Call it Meditation on the Theme of Why is Everyone Else So Screwed Up.
