Sean,

I think this idea of linking to Twitter is great, but I have some questions I'd like answered before I make that available on my discussion group #220033.

How will the tweets appear if they are to be in only 140 characters? When someone posts to my group, almost all of their questions are more than the allotted amount. And will there be a link back to our group as a RT (retweet), or what?

Your DiscApp can now send out tweets whenever someone posts a message. On your maintenance page, click on the Twitter icon and follow the instructions.

It would be even better if it would do a tweet only when someone starts a new thread. Or you could give us a checkbox to control whether there is a tweet for all messages, or just for new threads.... more

Found the answer: How do I delete a DiscApp? DiscApps are removed from the server after 12 weeks of inactivity (no new articles and no administration).

I think it makes no sense, if you put messages on hold and they altough appear in twitter.

I tried to sign up for the twitter alert for my forum, but it created a new forum instead. How do I delete the xtra forum?

We only post the subject of the entry in question with a link back to the original entry on YourWebApps. We truncate the subject to make room for the URL, if necessary.
