The headquarters of the LCs ranch near Cliff, NM was an adobe house built by Robert Craft in the early 1880s. It was a U shaped building built like a hacienda house. The bottom of the U ran E-W and was 180 feet long--all very similar to the Governor's Palace in Santa Fe. The bottom of the U was on the south and the wings ran north off the ends of the bottom. This house was built with dirt floors. In 1899 Thomas Lyons added some rooms on the western wing and had wood flooring installed in the whole shebang. This house was still there in the 1970s--maybe still there today.
I have a photo of it taken in the 1970s I believe. I'd upload it if someone would tell me how.
