This may have been covered already and I missed it, but yesterday I received the latest WWA Roundup, and this AM I looked at it, and there it was, announcement that Mark Dworkin was a Finalist for the Spur Award for nonfiction article, in this case his Wild West magazine piece on Walter Noble Burns. Absolutely groundbreaking stuff. Mark dug up what eluded all before him and is in the process of finishing up a biography of Burns, the first ever on the man who made Billy the Kid what he is today, was the first to present Wyatt as an epic figure, and was responsible for spreading the legend of Joaquin Murrieta beyond California.

Mark my words, Mark will soon be the author of one of the most important works about Western literature ever written.

Congratulations, Mark.
