I have my name on the readers list at our local library. It will be a month or two before I can get my turn. I just checked out some of the comments posted on Amazon regarding the book. Strong comments in favor and a couple against. Pretty much normal for Amazon.

Lee Morgan while in the service earned the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart, so indeed he deserves to be honored. I have nothing but respect for those who have served the country in combat. They are better men than I.

In the Book Description is the following quote. 'When I was 14, a young Marine taught me how to shoot a rifle. My instructor and surrogate big brother went on to enter US history books as the 'Texas Tower Sniper' after he massacred 16 innocent victims. He was the first recorded mass murderer in American history.' That is just plain incorrect. Not even close. I have no idea if that is what Lee believes or if that is the result of some editor at Amazon. Accuracy is important in non-fiction presentations.

Howard Unruh shortly after the end of WWII is considered to be America's first single episode mass murderer. Another fellow in the Revolutionany War period named Barnett Davenport bludgeoned to death his new employer Caleb Mallory and his wife Jane. There were three grandchildren were asleep in the home, which Barnett then burned to the ground killing the kids as well. Another big killer was Dr. Henry Howard Holmes was who was hung in 1896 for killing 4 (confirmed) and 27 confessed people. It's believed that he may have killed upwards of 200 people.

Adios - Jim

wondering what new evidence you have to substantiate the claim that Curly Bill survived Wyatt and was still alive in 1909? My Best. David

He died in 1909. As far as evidence, you have to look at all the evidence - in its entirety. The new information in the Westernlore book adds more evidence. Forest, trees, then the leaves.
