was surrounded by a lot of/all the NBC ("Laugh-in" especially …) stars as it was a very quiet/private community yet close to NBC (and many other) studio's. Ken Berry also lived nearby and Rick Dee's right across the street from Bob.

Ah Paty's restaurant, Toluca Lake, as you said, best for breakfast (there is nothing else like sitting outside there and "people watching"), but they also have a great peanut butter hot fudge Sundae and amazing huge cakes/cinnamon rolls for dessert….

The best place to run into Jonathan Winters was actually at Marie Callender's right across the street, which I believe was his favorite, as we always saw him there. I never saw him at Paty's, but don't think I was ever in Marie Callender's at a time that he wasn't there. We used to joke that when we went for lunch there we were actually just going to hang out with Jonathan as we knew he would ALWAYS be there.
