The most accurate account of who had any involvement with the capture of Cherokee Bill - correcting certain mistakes in newspapers - was in the Fort Smith Weekly Elevator of 31 January 1895. (Randy Farmer would not be able to find this if his nose was stuck in it.) Its the interview with the man who captured Cherokee Bill inside his house; Isaac "Ike" Rogers. Actual details differ in that besides Rogers and Clint Scales jumping the outlaw, Rogers' wife also assisted.
Everybody involved was mentioned by name, and can be seen in the famous photo. No Curly Bill.
