a chance to visit Ellsworth and most of the other Kansas Cowtown's (Dodge, Abilene, Wichita, Hays, Ö) about 5 years ago. In Ellsworth we stumbled upon this great little steakhouse which turned out to be owned by former U.S. soccer star (team captain) Ricky Davis. While ordering there we asked our waitress if we could meet him, and he came out from the kitchen and joined us for dinner. A truly memorable evening, we will never forget, with a really great guy (turns out we have a lot of mutual friends), and great food. I highly recommend his restaurant to anyone planning to visit Ellsworth to follow in the footsteps of Wyatt, Morgan, (Ben,) and Ed Ö.

We had parked my truck at Dodge City and began a two-week circuit in the Cruiser, which began at Lamar, Mo. Then up to Lincoln, Neb., then down through the Kansas cow-towns back to Dodge.
