compromise/decision making choices will be based on what's most practical, reasonable, and DO-ABLE under any given set of circumstances, even if not ideal.

HOWEVER, morality and ethics do NOT have to follow suit. Regardless of what's easiest to do, there are things (immoral, unethical things) that even the most devoted pragmatists won't do no matter how EASY it would be to do them.

Therefore, I don't understand why you'd conclude that a pragmatist would necessarily base their MORALITY on a sole principle any more than anyone else would.
