nothing positive in MiL's. She was an amazing woman. 87 years old. Still volunteering to use her RN talents every Wednesday at a local cancer center where she cared for patients during their treatments and also helped them find positive reasons to keep fighting. She was a beloved RN for many, many years in Boston and in Fitchburg/Leomninster MA. I can't think of a single negative thing I could say about her. The world has lost a very positive role model and individual who gave back far more than she ever took from this world. We will all miss "Grandma Kris" very much and my husband will miss her most. He spent several hours a week visiting her to fix broken things and play card games that she loved to play. She was widowed quite young and lost a child not long afterwards, so the remaining 3 grew closer to her. They all spent as much time as possible with her, most particularly in this last year since her diagnosis with the abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). I just saw her on Saturday and she was looking fit as a fiddle. She popped in to see my Dad when she saw my car parked in front of my late brother's house, figuring he was there with me. She was just so "cute" and bubbly... and now, she's gone. Just... like... that... :-(

My condolences, and wishing for your pops to recover quickly. Gotta agree: damned hard to find the lemonade in all that.
