Apparently, he IS "brain dead", but not physically dead, yet

He was in full cardiac arrest and not breathing when found by his wife. Rushed to hospital and put on to life support, but has no brain activity. Apparently, the life support was stopped, but he's still hanging on as his autonomic system is still functioning.

Prognosis is extremely poor.

But, apparently, he's not officially dead yet.

I don't know which is worse, being fully dead or only brain dead, but I'm going with being brain dead but still breathing.
