My polenta fritters

look great and taste great. Basically the ingredients are yellow grits, dehydrated onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper. One cup grits to three cups boiling water into which is put the ingredients. Stir for a few minutes until thickened. Cover and turn off heat. Wait five minutes. Uncover and stir. Immediately pour into a round cast iron crying pan. Chill. Cut into squares. Deep fry in peanut oil until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towel. Serve reheated or cold with eggs, bacon, or turkey gravey.
