training is the immediate correction. Positive reinforcement of good behaviors is a good thing. And creating a positive environment where positive behaviors are rewarded is also a good thing. And so is having peers say, "Hey man, that was not cool." afterwards when a member does something bad DOES help prevent recurrence...

But there's nothing like on the spot correction to create a DIRECT link in the mind of the trainee between the behavior and the consequence.
