women should be expected to react physically to a physical or sexual assault. Should they speak up then and there and not wait until years later? Yes, of course. But there are many reasons women have not felt safe in doing so at the time of the offense, which have been made known if you have been paying attention.

It's not a question of male and female roles. It's a question of right and wrong and not accepting aggression or predatory behavior as a social or cultural norm.
