For SES - On Collusion

You seem to have missed this below. Reposted and enhanced for your benefit.

(1) a secret agreement, especially for fraudulent or treacherous purposes; conspiracy:

(2) Law. a secret understanding between two or more persons to gain something illegally, to defraud another of his or her rights, or to appear as adversaries though in agreement

Do you understand, now? When we are talking about collusion, it is in reference to a number of illegal acts which are being conducted while the parties involved want to appear as adversaries while secretly working together.

Collusion isn't listed as the crime. The crimes would all be charged separately. Collusion is a mode of commission. A method. Saying someone is "guilty of collusion" is shorthand to group together all the crimes they are guilty of with their partner play-acting as adversary.

What crimes might be involved? Treason. Certainly various "high crimes and misdemeanors," no doubt. The president is obviously in the pocket of Putin. Russia has compromised him. My guess, after following along as little bits of information have dropped here and there, is that Russia has compiled quite the file on Trump's money laundering escapades. Did you hear the reports that instead of euphoria when they found out they were going to win on election night, the Trump inner circle was stunned and shell-shocked? I would bet that Trump thought he was going to get away from being a Russian puppet. He realized that if he won, he'd be Putin's pet. In the end, it looked safe for Hillary. And Trump would be able to ride the popularity of almost winning the election. He could milk that for years without having to do anything, and the Russians wouldn't have any reason to use their leverage on him. Then, the unimaginable. The Russians came through, as promised. Trump won.

Everything since then makes perfect sense if you consider that Trump answers to Moscow. Sure, Putin isn't stupid. There are little shows here and there to give Trump some deniability. Nothing too harsh, though.

But you know what they say about secrets. This one is so big, it's going to get out. It's just a matter of time. I heard some interesting speculation from a prosecutor yesterday. Mueller isn't pushing hard for a Trump interview and there's no talk of a subpoena anymore most likely because Trump has become a subject of the investigation (and it's a general rule that you don't subpoena the subject of an investigation because of self-incrimination protections). That would mean that he's collected enough evidence already...

All the signs are aligning. Jumping off the bandwagon now wouldn't salvage much integrity for Trump supporters, but hey, options are slim and getting slimmer.
