arguing nitpicky details about anything he can find to dispute, regardless of what his own view on it might be. I've gotten the feeling that he just likes to argue but has few hardwired, carved in stone political viewpoints. In fact, it would not surprise me if he belonged to a forum elsewhere that was RW and he argued in the same fashion, accidentally convincing them that he was some kind of liberal.

Don't forget, he may live in Texas, but he's a New Yorker by birth & residence for his formative years. He doesn't really fit EITHER group's stereotypes. I think he's an Independent.

        It's binary thinking. I don't think folks like Heavy can picture anyone who isn't either a Democrat or a Republican. In his mind one MUST be one or the other I suspect.
