I was never suggesting that confrontation or challenging Kim was the preferred manner of dealing with Kim Jong Un, and I believe that HH agrees with that.

We were both saying that attempting to manipulate him or taking him at his word, as you'd suggested, was NOT the way to deal with him.

In truth, he's an extremely difficult person to deal with because he's a murderous thug whose word is meaningless and attempts to manipulate him will be met with him taking advantage of us by taking whatever we dangle in front of him and then doing whatever the heck he wants to do.

The only way to deal with him is offering something he wants in exchange for something we want (and can VERIFY we've gotten) because he cannot be trusted or believed, and he's challenging him will only put the world on the edge of nuclear war. He'll do whatever it takes to preserve himself.
